Hello! I am a Senior at Queens College studying Biology and Biochemistry. As a part of my academic background, I constantly showcase skills in problem-solving, teamwork and exceptional organization. I anticipate integrating these skills into my Red Cross experience. My goal is to expand my involvement in community organizations as I continue my career path in the medical field. During my free time, I like to go hiking and play tennis.

Hi! My name is Sarah. I'm a rising senior at Hofstra University studying journalism and public policy. I've been working as a freelance reporter since I was 17 years old, and I'm excited to continue my work in communications with the Red Cross. When I'm not writing, I'm usually reading, at the theatre, listening to fiction podcasts or doing a variety of other nerd things.

Hi, I'm Saloni! I am an undergraduate senior at NYU, studying Communications and Public Health. I'm really excited to be working at The Red Cross. I've always wanted to go into a career field where I got to help people. In the future, I hope to work in Public Health and maybe even pursue an MPH! My strongest skills are my writing and communication skills, and I like to believe that I am also a very organized person.
A fun fact about me is - I was born in Japan! I've been lucky to be able to call four countries home in my life so far (including America). Because of this, when people ask me where I'm from, I find it very difficult to answer sometimes.

Alfie Arun is a rising junior at the University of Pennsylvania majoring in Political science and Health and Societies with a minor in East Asian Languages and Civilizations. On campus, Alfie is involved with many legal clubs like Penn Mock Trial and Penn Undergraduate Law Journal. On the Penn Mock Trial, Alfie is the captain of the A-team. He also engages in political action through Penn YDSA and Penn Justice Democrats. After college, he is interested in pursuing a law degree and working in policy making. A fun fact about Alfie is that he has a black belt (in the martial arts).

Internship Program Senior Advisor
Henry graduated from Vassar College in 2021 as a Sociology and French double major. Next year, he will be pursuing an MSc in Human Rights and Politics at the London School of Economics. Henry joined the Red Cross last summer as the Volunteer Services Engagement Intern. Over the academic year, he interned in International Services and worked on a joint project with the IFRC's delegation to the United Nations. This summer, he is joining Community & Government Relations in addition to his position within the internship program.

These interns are natural networkers and enjoy creating effective strategies for engaging donors and planning events. They are critical thinkers and strong communicators who thrive in a busy, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. They are working with an equally driven team to help mobilize the power of donors in support of the Red Cross mission.

Hello! My name is Josephine Chak, and I am a rising junior majoring in Corporate Communications and minoring in Economics and Marketing. I was the 2020-2021 VP of Philanthropy for one of the biggest clubs on my college campus and within my position, I reached out to outside clubs and organizations to collaborate for multiple fundraisers and events throughout the year. I am super excited to be part of such an awe-inspiring and established organization, and I am looking forward to all the amazing work I will be able to do this summer!
To end with a fun fact: one thing on my bucket list is to go sky diving!

I am based in San Francisco, CA and spent the past 10 years in the media and advertising industry while volunteering for nonprofits in my spare time. I currently work full-time on the advertising sales team at Hulu, while also pursuing my Master's in Leadership with a concentration in Nonprofit Management at Northeastern University. My goal is to transition into a career in nonprofits or corporate social responsibility. Fun fact: A creative agency found an Instagram pic of me with a hot chicken sandwich in Nashville and asked to use it in a Google commercial.
Jack Lynch

Jack Lynch is a native of Oregon. He moved to New York to attend and graduate from SUNY Purchase College earning his BFA in Design/Technology with a concentration in Stage Management. A husband of seven years and a father to a four-year-old, Jack enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.
His nonprofit career began in the art world as an international touring stage manager. Highlights include working with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Dance Theatre of Harlem, American Ballet Theater, Hartford University, Columbia University, and the School of American Ballet.
He also has participated in a gala performance celebrating the reopening of the American Embassy in Berlin, working with the American embassy in Jamaica, touring Israel and Jerusalem sending teaching artists across the country including to the West Bank, dance festivals in Italy, Vail, CO, Jacob’s Pillow, the Virginia Arts Festival, American Dance Festival, NY City Center, Lincoln Center Festival, Metropolitan Opera House, David H. Koch Theater, David Geffen Hall, the Julliard School, performances in all five NYC boroughs, and performances in Central Park.
Jack has been working at Columbia University at the Lenfest Center for the Arts on the Manhattanville campus since its opening in 2017. This is his final semester in the School of Professional Studies Nonprofit Management program. His final classes are a capstone project with New York Public Radio and Major and Leadership Giving. Other courses include grant writing and planned giving.

I am a Junior at St John’s University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security! I am very passionate about emergency management and intelligence collecting and aspire to work in either of those fields when I leave school. I am also passionate about linguistics and am fluent in Italian and Spanish. I am trying to learn Russian as well and am able to read and speak a bit! In my free time I enjoy singing, painting and drawing as well. I have a passion for teaching and hope to utilize that in my internship to the best of my ability.

Hi everyone! My name is Grace Harris and I have just graduated with my bachelors degree in Homeland Security this past May from St. John's University. In the fall, I will be entering my graduate year acquiring my master's degree in Homeland Security/ Criminal Justice Leadership. In the future, I hope to work for the Red Cross, Department of Homeland Security, or the FBI. (A fun fact about myself is that as a young girl, I participated in Irish Step dance for about ten years!) As an individual, I am competent, ambitious, passionate, and have acquired great leadership and team-working skills. With this being said, I'm excited to put my skills to use. I'm honored to have been given the opportunity to work as a disaster relief intern and I'm ecstatic to be a part of this wonderful organization.

Hello! My name is Henry Morgan and I am excited to serve as an International Services Program Coordinator Intern this fall. I live in Brooklyn but I studied abroad in Brussels for the first couple of months of the spring semester. Upon returning home, I was lucky to welcome a new puppy, Hugo, into my life.

I am the new Volunteer Intake Coordinator. I am so excited to be part of this journey with everyone. I am currently majoring in Urban Studies with a minor in Cities & Social Medicine and Health Professions. I plan on becoming an Epidemiologist and working with the RedCross will help me reach that goal. In my free time, I love to experiment with new recipes or go out with my friends and tour the best city in the world. I look forward to getting to know and meeting everyone!

Joshua Park will be joining American Red Cross, as a Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator Intern. He was born in Westchester and resides in the Fort Lee area. He attends Rutgers University as a senior, majoring in Human Resource Management and minoring in Labor Studies. While he is not 100% sure what his future holds, he is an extrovert and is very passionate about pursuing a lifelong career in HR, specifically recruiting. While HR and recruiting may not be the most glamorous position, he believes as a recruiter, he is a position where he can help grow and/or start other people's careers and make a positive impact in their lives. To him, this is rewarding, gratifying, and gets him up every morning. Joshua was not always as outgoing but being appointed a leadership position in his school club, helped with his confidence and communication skills. Joshua hopes to continue working in non-profit organizations around the world once he graduates. In his free time, Joshua likes to cook, spend time with his friends and family, and unfortunately is a huge New York Knicks Fan.
