I'm from Beijing, China and I' currently a Junior at NYU majoring in Anthropology. I am an outgoing and open-minded student. I consider communication to be one of my key strengths. I am a firm believer of the society’s nurturing power and the idea that one can learn from anyone around them. Since a very young age, I have been fascinated by the diverse cultures around the world. In particular, I am intrigued by the individuality of every human being. I try to learn about a new culture and initiate conversations with informants whenever there is a chance.

Intern, Community and Government Relations
I am a junior at Fairfield University located in Fairfield, CT and I'm majoring in Sociology and minoring in Public Health in hopes to do advocacy and outreach work for vulnerable communities. I’ve volunteered with Fairfield University at a local school for low-income immigrant women to gain skills in the English language. This school provides a free service to women so that they can find jobs, as well as communicate effectively with providers and educators. Compiling a list of important ways to stay healthy during a pandemic was one of the projects I personally completed. To this list, I added appointments and examinations women should be getting and with what doctors, as well as how often. Further, I worked on a research project in my Social and Political Data Analysis class, where I used "R" to analyze data about the impact of income on overall health. Outside of school, I enjoy playing the ukulele for fun, although I am still learning!
